Booking Policies

A card authentication of £10 per person is required to secure table bookings. The money will only be claimed if your entire group fails to show for the reservation. Tables are held for up to 15 minutes from the reserved time, so please let us know asap if you are running late or need to cancel your booking.

Parking

We have ample space in our car park and if this is full there is free street parking available in the village on a first come first serve basis.

Accommodation

Our recently built deluxe bedrooms are quietly housed in an annexe, just a short stroll across the garden from the pub.  They offer the perfect location to rest your head after a day of exploring Cambridge or the tranquil village of Histon.Our four double rooms, of which two can be made with twin beds, all come complete with a private en-suite bathroom and are available year-round.

Decorations

You’re welcome to decorate booked spaces for an event, however we don’t allow confetti, confetti filled balloons or sparklers, and ask that you refrain from sticking anything to the walls.

Children

Children are welcome at any time but must be accompanied by an adult.

Dog Policies

You’re more than welcome to bring your furry friends to The Red Lion. This includes our rooms.

Transport

The Red Lion in Histon is just a 12-minute drive from Cambridge North train station. The No 8 bus will take you directly to the city centre, with a stop opposite the pub.  We have a large car park for guest use.

Accessibility

The pub is accessible and we have a ramp for those who need it. Our rooms however are not accessible.  If you have any questions ahead of your stay please get in touch.

Available Spaces

Table bookings can be made in the pub for both food and drinks. You can enquire about private hire and larger group bookings by emailing bookings@theredlionhiston.co.uk

Consumption of own product on the premises / Corkage

We don’t allow external catering or corkage.  All our menus can be found on the food & drink tab on our website!
